What is The Venny @ Cubbies Fitzroy
The Cubbies in Fitzroy was the first adventure playground built in Australia. More than 50 years later it continues to be a focal point for the local community. Located next to the Atherton Gardens housing estate it is a hive of activity. A place that children and young people can connect, play and call their own.
A free space for you to:
- Climb high, run fast and jump from heights
- Dig in the garden or sandpit
- Be messy and creative
- Play with other kids
- Be loud and make noise or find a quiet space to chill
- Eat delicious home cooked food
- Join in activities or create your own
- Get support from staff
- Be yourself and choose your own play
